First and foremost, I am a financial educator. I come to the financial planning world through a nontraditional route, after earning a bachelor’s degree in music and a master’s degree in education. I was a public school teacher for several years, and in 2011, joined my father, Dennis Graves as an advisor and vice president at Rocky Mountain Financial Designs.
After eight years of working together, and Dennis’ retirement, I have been proud to serve as president of this company. Communication is paramount in any business, and my approach to financial planning reflects my experience communicating complex information to “challenging” audiences. I thrive on helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve the financial stability that brings security to their lives.
Along the way, I built my own “team”, as my wife, Amy and I had five fantastic boys. I love to take my boys on adventure trips into mountains, down rivers, and everywhere else I can challenge them to do difficult things. I maintain my love of music and volunteer in the local middle and high school bands.
